We have visitors of all ages, and many, many children. Be sure you can identify your child if you get separated, or give them something with your name on it so zoo staff can find you if they are too young to describe you.
If you have a zoo membership, bring your card with you. You will enter much more quickly that way. If you don’t have a membership pass and you want to forgo any lines to enter, why not buy one today? Click here
for more information.
Leave your four-legged friends at home. They are not allowed to enter the Zoo, and a car’s interior temperature becomes deadly in a matter of minutes. The only exception to this policy is service dogs.
No outside food or drink is allowed in the Zoo, except water. If you like, we have picnic facilities you can utilize to the right of the parking lot, or enjoy your lunch at Pecan Bottoms, along the Brazos River.
The zoo has a limited number of wheelchairs and electric carts available for rental through our admissions booth. Manual wheelchairs are free and electric carts will be rented on a first come, first served basis at $10.00 per hour and a credit card must be given at time of rental or a $40 cash deposit is required.
Wagons will be available for rent at the Safari Outfitters Gift Shop in the front plaza on a first come, first served basis. Safari Wagons are $10.
