Group Volunteers

Do you have a group that would love to volunteer at the zoo?  There are great opportunities for your group to help out at the zoo. Minimum of 2 hours of volunteering for entire group, groups must all check in together.

For volunteer groups, only the group leader needs to complete this application. Group members must be aged 13 or older to participate in this volunteer opportunity. For every 10 minors (ages 13-17), there needs to be at least 1 adult present.

The majority of group-volunteer opportunities at Cameron Park Zoo involve physical labor. Group members participating in this volunteer opportunity must be able to engage in physical labor independently or with reasonable accommodations.

If you have any questions about our Group Volunteering policies, please reach out to the Volunteer Coordinator, Michelle Lori, at (254)-750-7049 or MichelleL@cameronparkzoo.com

Indoor Projects: preparing materials for programs, sorting items for special events, stuffing event bags, etc.  The exact project will vary due to the time of the year and the needs of the zoo.

Outdoor Projects: raking leaves, moving soil, rocks, gravel, planting shrubs, flowers, etc.  Each project will vary depending on the needs of the Zoo and the interest of the group.

Each group will be required to complete a Group Volunteer Application.

Each individual volunteering must complete a Liability Release and turn it in at the zoo before they begin volunteering.
