Cameron Park Zoo is committed to providing an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all guests. The resources below are available to support visitors with sensory, mobility, and other accessibility needs.
Sensory Kits
Location: Available for check-out at the Gift Shop.
Sensory kits are offered at no cost and may be used throughout the visit. Each kit includes:

Noise-reducing headphones

Fidget tools

Sunglasses

Additional sensory support items
These items are designed to assist guests with sensory sensitivities in creating a more comfortable Zoo experience.
Sensory kits were constructed in partnership with Baylor University’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy.
Sensory Room
Location: Inside the Ascension Providence Nursing Pods, approximately halfway through the Zoo. The sensory room is the room closest to the restroom.
The Sensory Room provides a quiet, calming space with:

A bubble tube

A tactile fidget wall
-
Light-up tap tiles
Guests may use this space to rest or regulate sensory input during their visit.
The Sensory Room was designed in partnership with Baylor University’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy.
Mobility Support: Wheelchairs and Scooters
Manual wheelchairs and motorized scooters are available for guest use. Availability may vary. Please inquire at the Gift Shop or entry gate for assistance.
