Cameron Park Zoo would like to thank you for your continued support during these unprecedented times. We are working diligently to ensure the safety of all guests, staff, and animals. Now, what does that look like for your group’s Snooze event? We have made adjustments to our normal Snooze routine to accommodate local and state Covid-19 guidelines, as well as to keep our Covid susceptible animals safe.

Behind the scenes tours through our African and Brazos at Night areas are currently unavailable. Instead, we will go behind the scenes of the Herpetarium.

Staff will be required to wear masks for the duration of the event. Guests will be required to wear their mask while inside any indoor areas, including restrooms. Masks are not required during outside activities. Most of the evening’s activities will be outside. All areas visited will be sanitized before and after guests arrive. There will be a general itinerary attached below.

Dinner will be provided for guests and staff. Staff will wear appropriate safety gear while preparing plates and drinks for guests. Additional sanitizing stations will be added to each area visited throughout the night. Guests will be split into smaller groups while rotating between activities.

The Cameron Park Zoo remains at 75 percent capacity at this time, which means there is a maximum capacity of 26 people in the Saltwater Aquarium. If your group exceeds that amount, we can split your group between the Saltwater Aquarium and the Freshwater Aquarium. However, if possible, we suggest your group bring tents to camp in the Meadows area. It is a lovely grassy area near the playground with immediate access to the restrooms. This option allows individual family groups within your larger group to social distance effectively.

In the morning, guests will need to have their items placed inside their vehicles before 8 am. Once personal items are returned to vehicles, individually packaged breakfast items will be provided. Coffee and juice will be served by staff. Then guests are welcome to explore the zoo.

We anticipate that the evening will be fun and exciting and are looking forward to your group’s arrival. If these adjustments do not fit within your group’s expectations or requirements, we will also be providing an alternative group night time activity: Wild Nights: https://www.cameronparkzoo.com/education/wild-nights/
