GUIDED TOURS

Explore Cameron Park Zoo with our experienced tour guides. Through these tours, your group will develop an understanding of wildlife, their habitats, and conservation efforts. All tours are adaptable to meet the interests and skill development for your group. Guided tours are available for students in 2nd grade and older. The fee is an additonal $0.50/person, minimum of 10 people or $5.00 for guided tours. Guided tours are available September through March.

ANIMAL PRESENTATIONS

Meet some live animals up close and learn more about them as we discuss their importance on our planet. These programs are designed to sharpen students' sensory and observation skills using touchable animals. Animal presentations are given in the Ranch House and are the perfect way to start or end your zoo visit. Animal presentations are available September through May.

  • The fee is an additional $1.00/person (student, teacher, chaperone, sibling).
  • Minimum of 10 people or $10.00.
  • Animal Presentations are limited to groups of 30 or less.
  • We are able to schedule multiple presentations.
  • Animal Presentations are approximately 15-30 minutes in length.

ZOO CLASSES

  • Programs are offered Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m
  • All programs include approximately 30 minutes of instruction time
  • Classes are for 15-30 students
  • Minimum of 10 students or $20.00
  • The fee is $2.00 per student and does not include admission to the Zoo
  • Due to classroom size, only one adult per 10 students allowed in the class
  • Zoo Classes are available September through May.

BEHIND THE SCENES TOURS

Schedule a once in a lifetime peek behind the scenes at the Cameron Park Zoo. Your group will enjoy touring select areas that are typically off limits to the public, while learning specific information about our zoo residents. Minimum of 10 people or $50.00. This program is for students in 2nd grade and up. Behind the Scenes Tours are available September through May.

HOW TO REGISTER

To register for any of the above programs, call the Education Department at (254) 750-8400

Registration notes:

  • Payment is due at the time of the program, unless noted otherwise
  • All fees are subject to change
  • If you must cancel a program, please call the Education Department as soon as possible. We will try to reschedule your program; however, rescheduling a program cannot be guaranteed.

Chaperone Requirements

  • One adult chaperone is required for every 10 students.
  • Chaperones are required to stay with the students at all times. Failure to do so may result in dismissal of your entire group.
