Zoo Snooze

Camp out at Cameron Park Zoo and have fun exploring behind the scenes!
We welcome different types of groups – family & friends or only adults or Scouts.
(Scouts will receive a Cameron Park Zoo patch designed especially for the Snooze.)

***Girl Scouts ~ A staff member must spend the night with your group.
Some of our overnight staff are male.*** 

Ages: Six years and older

Fee: $45/person, children and adults
A non-refundable deposit of $150.00 is due at the time of registration.
(This deposit goes towards the final payment due the night of the Snooze.)

Availability: Friday evenings, by reservation only (needs to be at least 2 weeks in advance)

Minimum:  15 people          Maximum:  100 people
(When you register, your group will be the only group in attendance that night.) 

Sleeping arrangements:
Saltwater aquarium sleeps 35
Freshwater aquarium sleeps 35
Both aquariums requires a minimum of 50
Meadows sleeps up to 100 ~ Group will need to supply their own tents.

What should I bring?

Requirements: One adult chaperone for every five children.
Each person attending the Snooze must fill out and submit an
Individual Registration form the evening of the Snooze.

Snooze Schedule:

Evening
6:00 – Check-in starts
6:15 – 6:45 Set up
6:45 – 7:45 Dinner (pizza)
7:45 – 9:30 Behind the Scenes tour with night hike through the zoo
9:30 – 9:45 Animal Presentation and snack (Animal Crackers)
9:45 – ??? Get ready for bed

Morning
7:00 Wake up and pack gear to cars
Breakfast (muffins and danish) until 8:00
8:00 – ???  Enjoy the public side of the zoo on your own!
(There are no in-and-out privileges.)

If you have friends meeting you the day following your Snooze, they can not get in to the zoo until we open at 9:00 Saturday morning.
