A beautiful bird from Australia, the black swan is mainly found in the southern wetlands of the continent. These impressive animals can boast a wingspan of nearly 6 feet.
The male and female are the same in appearance, but the male of the species tends to be the bigger of the two. Black swans often have the same mate for life.
Conservation Status: Not suffering from population decline and are therefore listed as least concern.
